Testimonials

"Whereas the very idea of contacting official sources intimidates many students, this facet of reporting seems second nature to Ryan Finkelstein.  Ryan’s also adept at making the mechanisms of local government accessible and truly interesting."

- Dr. Kevin Petrich Professor for Broadcast Journalism at FAU.

"Ryan's one of my most trusted writers to work in a fast and efficient manner. He's proven to be adept at writing all across the sports spectrum, handling primarily MLB writing on my team, but showing a willingness an ability to tackle football, basketball, and college sports news as well. Ryan has taken direction well over the many months we've worked together, and has continued to improve his depth and clarity with each week."

- Adam Weinrib Senior Editor/Head of Social for 12Up

“Over the past seven months, Ryan has been creating content across our Fanatics platforms. Mostly writing from a different perspective than what he was accustomed to, he was very receptive to my critiques and made the appropriate changes to the writing style that we were looking for.

Ryan adapted quickly and has become my go-to freelancer especially during our hot markets such as NBA Finals and the Stanley Cup Final where his turnaround on projects was outstanding and vital to our companies SEO success. His drive and passion for sports journalism are evident in his eagerness and enthusiasm for more and more projects. I couldn't be happier with the quality of writing that Ryan has produced for us, and I could only hope that future freelancers that we hire are as passionate about sports and show at least half of the work ethic that he has.”

- Eric Martinez eCommerce Coordinator at Fanatics

Ryan served as The Cardinal Nation’s 2018 reporter for the Palm Beach Cardinals professional baseball team, located in Jupiter, Florida. He competitively interviewed for the assignment through Florida Atlantic University.

Ryan received high marks for his professionalism in dealing with team personnel and with me, serving as his editor. His work was always submitted on deadline and was of high quality. Editing was almost never needed on the content, with only minor tuning for clarity. His knowledge of both the game and its rules were clear, making my work relatively easy.

Ryan executed all elements of this assignment in an exemplary manner and I will serve as an enthusiastic reference for him. I look forward to following his progress as he completes his studies and moves into full-time employment. If you are a prospective employer, I encourage you to consider Ryan strongly for your opening.
